Merced Will You Do Your Part?

Welcome to NAACP Merced County Branch

Founded in 1909 the NAACP is the oldest and largest civil  rights organization,  From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight for social justice for all Americans.

There isn't a state in America that hasn't been touched by the NAACP. We've made tremendous progress on important issues like voting rights and voter registration, racial profiling, economic inequality, and more.

Supporters like you helped us accomplish so much, but we need you again this year. We need to keep pressure on Congress to pass real legislation to create jobs, end economic inequality, and improve education. We need to make sure the Affordable Care Act is implemented so millions of Americans have the healthcare coverage they need. We need to keep fighting for voting rights in the face of those who seek to make it harder to vote.

Join our community fighting to protect civil rights and human rights. Make your donation to the NAACP today.

 Message from

  President Allen Brooks

  Dear Community,

My name is Allen Brooks. I am the new President of NAACP Chapter 1047.  I am writing this letter in     order to set expectations of my Vision, Mission and Purpose for the next few years.

  • My Vision is equity in education and in the community.  It is time to close the huge gaps in our educational system.  It is our goal to ensure that all citizens have equal Civil Rights.

  • My Mission for the organization is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality for all citizens.  Also eliminating race-based discrimination.

  • My purpose is to impact youth leadership by empowering the youth with the proper knowledge, skills, and abilities that produce successful results.  The NAACP wants to build confidence in the community by providing the highest customer service to the community we serve.

I do believe it takes a village to raise a child.  Every child is our responsibility, so equity should be our focus.  I  look forward to working with dignitaries and community leaders. Together we can make a difference.   Now is the time to produce results.
